I have been on a quest
for pelicans
going to different locations
in Thunder Bay
where they have been spotted
but they continue to elude me
They weren't at Mission Island Marsh
I was so sad that they weren't there
that I almost left without seeing the beauty
of the sunlight dancing on the water
the magic that was right before me
All it took
was to put my camera
in manual mode
to focus on
what was in front of me
and I was blessed with
another way of seeing
