the sky
breathing in the vast clear air
of Mother Earth

Thanks for
finally finding the pelicans
I had been searching all spring
and summer for

They were cavorting
with the cormorants and seagulls

Never give up

looking for the things

that give your life meaning!

Thank you
for my sisters
my son

Thank you
for the wisdom
of knowing
when to go with the flow

and when to stop
and stand tall
for what I believe in

I am blessed
to have a heart that is full
not one made of stone

Thank you for
the connections
I share with
my family
my friends
my community

Thank you
for the strength of  faith and love
that helps me navigate
an unknown future

Thank you for all
that crosses my path
as I journey
through the mysteries of life
