Why would people say that?
It has such a derogatory connotation
Perhaps they have never seen
how adorable weasels really are!!
I came upon this little fellow
a couple of week ago
while out walking with little Sam
As you can see
Weasel's winter coat
was coming in!!
What a great series of images. The weasel is indeed a handsome fellow, but they do have a fierceness to them, which is I think how the saying came to be.
ReplyDeleteThere used to be a weasel with a den near a corral I'd ride my horse in when I was a teenager. Every now and then he'd take issue with us being there and come out on the attack. The horse was scared of him, and there was more than one occasion where I almost took a tumble because of that weasel!
Oh dear, that weasel was such a weasel for scaring you and your horse! This was the first weasel I have ever seen and I just loved how curious he was and beautiful too!
